Needed to keep it 1-0 at half time. Now we are fcuked. No way back I’m afraid. We’ve not been good enough. Confidence looks shot

We’ve been nervous again and again managed a game poorly. But I honestly think we can turn this around. We’ve threatened. We really could beat this lot.

But we need a sensible, Hughton style second half.

We came back from 2 down against Marseille, but this is a different kettle of fish and I can't see it happening.
We don't look like scoring. Damage limitation.

Oh arse. What a howler. We’ve gifted them that.

Long way back now.

Think we need to make some changes. Enciso and - to a lesser extent - Buonanotte guilty of ‘head down trying to dribble through four defenders’ mindset. Older heads like Welbeck more aware of what’s needed.

I don’t think we’ve even played all that badly. The good news is that we have games that we can win 3-4 nil, so I am not worried about getting horsed before the Amex

Playing ok just punished and too open at back as usual. Missing Pedro and Mitoma big time. Gilmour and Lamps been good but Igor just doesn’t have the pace and has been poor defensively - Buonanotte just doesn’t do enough for me and runs into dead ends. Frustrating again but expected for me.

FFS. Unfortunately that is just not good enough at this level. They have the quality to take their chances. We haven’t.
Could be completely out of this tie by full time.
Not through a lack of effort or desire.
We need a goal back. No way can we come back from two goals down at the Amex.

Poor, naive.

What happened to the rapid incisive attacks that RDZ was known for? It's all a bit Potter again recently, huff puff huff puff.

But the reason we're losing is crap defending again. Switching off with the high line for the first. Dunk error and Steele rooted in no man's land for the second.

has been fairly evenly matched in open play, we’ve just been woefully subpar in key moments. missed chances, and defended awfully when they’ve come forward.

hardly a surprise, high line with a monumentally slow defence and isolating dunk against lukaku who has got the better of him many times over the years. big second half needed but i think we will concede another couple
