You used a common anti Semitic trope, that’s a fact:
Absolute poppycock. If you think I’m being an anti-Semite, you better report me to the police. But hey, you and I both know they’d laugh you out of the nick.

To me, the illegal occupation of Palestine is nothing to do with religion, it’s about humanity as a whole, something that Israel has a complete disregard for in its current guise.

Not sure if already mentioned on here but a couple of bands have pulled out of Download Festival this year because of Barclays sponsoring it. One band though, Split Chain, have said rather than boycotting they'll be donating their artist fee to Palestinian support charities.

Good way of doing things I think, though I also (as rambled about previously) understand and support those artists who have just decided to rack the whole thing off in protest.

No, he didn't, he was talking about Israelis changing away from their Revisionist Zionist government.
Zionism is not in itself a terrible thing, I have no issue with Jews wishing to live in a place they feel connected to. I have major issues with settling of occupied territories, and treatment of Palestinians.
Well he did, read what he said.

You used an anti semitic trope, if you think it’s poppycock prove it. Read the article and read what you wrote.
Anyway do you think Hamas rapist terrorists have any regard for humanity (you won’t answer the question)

Call a policeman!

Of course Hamas don’t, what a stupid question.

Why would I call the police? (I haven’t seen the word policeman since the 80s, we say officer these days)
I called you out for a blatant and common antisemitic trope, simple.
Because you’re accusing me of being an anti-Semite for saying I don’t buy Israeli produce. It’s because of people like you that they’ll probably never be peace in the region.

In much the same way that the UK has no regard for human rights legislation (Sunk plans to ignore any foreign attempts to thwart his plans - it's in his manifesto)? But.....the Tories are not the UK.

You're conflating a party/leader with a nation here.....

Sorry that’s BS it was your use of too much power line. That’s an established anti semitic trope. Feel free not to buy Israeli produce. Question do you boycott all Chinese products, as their atrocities are beyond any of your accusations towards Israel.

But you are accusing me of being an anti- Semite right?

I don't think he is accusing you of 'being' an anti-Semite. He is saying you used an anti-Semitic trope.

You seem to be gorging on conflation today.

(and no, I'm not calling you fat).

Hmmm. I was just accused of being a Hamas supporter though, which is nice.

Again conflation, I asked your opinion, which you gave.
HWT is correct my clear and repeated accusation was you used an anti semitic trope, which you clearly did. Which is: not nice, not cool, lacks intellect and is unfortunately increasingly common.

If you say so. By saying I wouldn’t answer, you were insinuating I was. You’re a nasty piece of work IMO. And one that will now be on my ignore list.

Well he did, read what he said.
I did read it, and read it again. He is saying the hard right has too much power in Israel, this is made clear by saying it is up to normal Israelis to fix that. The way I read his post, he is saying it needs the population of Israel to change its Government. In the same way that we need to change ours.

He did say Israel in its current guise, if he had said the UK in its current guise, has no regard for human rights, I think you would accept he was talking about the Government, not just a party, the party in power.

It is sad that so many supporters of Israel don't get that it is their friends that are telling them they are out of order, not antisemites.

Yes, well, I said they are out of order weeks ago.

I have been more interested in how all this killing should stop, but alas, we are still all apparently on square one with that.

I would be pleased with the same sort of pressure that was brought to bear on Apartheid South Africa but, again, alas . . .

And at least in Israel there is a moderate and credible opposition (to Likud). In South Africa we were told the only opposition was the ANC and its leader Mandela. Who Johnson apparently wanted to see hanged. And yet, in the end, the ANC prevailed.

So why are we not calling for support for Israeli opponents of Likud? The Israeli Labour party seems to have been dismissed as 'they are all the same'. Funny how politics is seen by some as just a game.....

I would agree, but boycotting The Great Escape and Latitude is not holding big business to account; Barclays and Israel won't give a monkeys whether the Lambrini Girls play a gig in Brighton, but the festival organisers and punters are screwed.
It appears that the festival organisers have now severed their links with sponsor Barclays..
