A new limited edition Christmas mascot of a turkey to keep gully company ?

Comes to something when this is probably the most sensible suggestion on the thread :p

So it seems. Can't think we could afford his full salary but we have a good relationship with Villa and he would be excellent surely.

As long as they don't try to offload Lambert on us I'm fine :lolol:

I would love Lambert to join us. He's quality. At Villa the players he has at his disposal are appalling, but somehow he steers them away from relegation each year

Should this happen, may I propose that we all turn up to the Millwall game wearing replica shirts with 'Bent' on the back of them - the neanderthals would have heart failure.

:lolol: :lolol:

Playing Devil's Advocate........bear in mind Villa fans say he is fat, lost any pace he ever had, no longer has his "fox in the box" ability etc etc. :lolol:

Hmm, Darren Bent, an interesting call. A proper striker, when on form....

Hopefully he would be motivated enough to want to prove a point. However I don't want him if he is just going to stroll around waiting for the ball to be put on a plate...... at least with a proper striker's instincts he ought to be waiting in the right place :lolol:

But if his head is alright then he could be interesting in the Championship.

Good signing if it comes off, I just hope he takes us seriously.
