We aren’t a one man team. I think we’d be top six (minimum) if Welbz hadn’t been injured and if Veltman & Milner had been around to help us secure wins against the likes Wolves and Leicester.

Added to that, players like Mitoma and Baleba, we really don’t rely on Pedro who is a level down from Welbeck as a No.9 but admittedly, our best No.10 (in the position Georginio was having a cracking run with Welbz in the team.)
Veltman played against Wolves and I think there are to many excuses from fans. A top six team shouldn’t fall apart when a 35 year old player is injured, it was always going to happen sooner or later.
My point about Pedro he had two assists against Villa and won the pen against Arse.

And Georginio was doing this at No.10 when he had Welbz telling him what to do.

I do agree that Pedro is incredibly important but we are not a one man team but I don’t think you were totally pushing that agenda. From match to match, we need a player to stand tall and carry the team in terms of goal scoring and assisting, Pedro is that man at the moment as you point out but others have been previously.

I've not heard the interview but I wonder if it was just a passing line.
His job is to deflect any blame from his players and he does it well.
But I'd love someone to point out his timewasting at the Amex compared to Newcastle at the Library

Just think how long his ranting about the ball would go on for, if he was discussing the difference between SG, Dukes and Kookaburra balls

Not to offer the bloke any support at all, but the balls used can make a big different, especially with shooting. In that 2010 world cup, pretty much nobody could keep a shot down till after the group stage

Which kinda proves the point that we aren't really a one man team? Pedro was key in those matches, Welbeck was vital for the first run of matches when Pedro was injured, Mitoma is always a danger, Veltman adds more maturity and nous that anyone etc etc. If we're a one man team, we should be able to agree on who that one man is, no?

Anyway, back on Arteta, I genuinely believe that he is the obstacle at Arsenal between them and trophies. He's too distracting, focuses too much on everything else above what he and his team need to do to improve and has converted a once exciting and vibrant team into George Graham's team of the 90s (without the trophies, obviously).

The fact is, in that first half against us they were streets ahead and should have been 2-3 up going into half time but they weren't. Why? Because they stopped attacking and started play acting to kill time. It's not like City when they had chances and missed them, Arsenal actively tried to shut the game down at 0-0. Arteta is creating a really grim defensive outfit that relies on two strikers (Havertz and Jesus) who aren't reliable enough and one winger (Saka) to convert Odegaard's assist-making attempts. Trossard and Martinelli aren't reliable enough either, but rather than address that, who did they sign this summer? Calafiori in defense and Merino in defensive midfield, to compliment their signings last summer of Declan Rice, a defensive mid, Jurrien Timber, a defender, and Kai Havertz, a defensive striker and David Raya.

Luckily Arsenal fans will not acknowledge any failings in Arteta becaues it's all about crazy FA, PL or PGMOL agendas, so he likely won't come under much pressure.

Have a look at the stats mentioned earlier by @hans kraay fan club. Then you'll see Arteta is a prick.
