Wenger is a class act, he will turn it around. I would take advantage and get on large Arsenal finishing in the top four. Man U are simply unstoppable at the moment.

He's not been sacked. But what would your reaction be if he was sacked?

For me over the past 15 years he's been the second greatest manager in football.

Came to the club at a time of great need won the double in his first season, brought them 3 Premier leagues and 4 FA Cups with a invincible side. Then built a very young squad and sold on his previous legends (Anelka 25m Overmars Viera etc) suitable as he had to be financially stable with the new stadium and all. Managed to keep this team in the top 4 competing with the likes of Liverpool Utd City and Chelsea who all spend f*** loads while he spends nothing and instead sells.

Now however he hasn't won anything for 6 years (understandably as he's spent nothing and made massive transfer profits for the stadium) and has just lost his two best players. There was obviously nothing he could do about losing Cesc and Nasri - Cesc wanted to go home and to the best club in the world where as Nasri wanted more money.

The only criticism you can have of Wenger is that he hasn't signed any replacements or a centre half. But Arsenal have a wage structure which means players like Phil Jones and Juan Mata decide to move elsewhere obviously not Wengers fault. So he finds himself in a situation where he hasn't won a trophy for a few years and has started the season of badly or be it with 8 players out and his 2 best players gone. yet he still tries to play football the proper way! (the way we play it)

Harry Redknapp is a better manager when he gets in the champions league once by spending shed loads?

So my real point is if Wenger IS to get sacked it would be the biggest tragedy in football forced upon by greedy fans and media pressure. He has literally done nothing wrong.

This absolute drivel you've written, coupled with the misleading thread title, make this a completely shite post.
Obviously one of those Arsenal and Brighton "fans"

Wenger has probably changed the English club game more than any club manager since Shankly but I think the problem is that unlike Ferguson he has never changed his number 2. Perhaps Pat Rice could be moved 'sideways' and another first team coach moved in?

As I am not an Arsenal fan, who cares?

You might if they kicked him upstairs and thought his replacement should be a youngish Manager who has a similar philosophy on how to play football and seems to have some ability in the transfer market, albeit currently at a rung below; say G*s P*y*t !!

Arsenal needed signings in this window without a doubt, I have no idea why they have left it this late. if I was a top player and a bid came in from Arsenal for me, I'd really question going there at the moment (depending on a lot of factors of course).

Who knows what goes on behind the scenes, but surely if Wenger gives the "go for it" on a signing, the money men haggle it out until its done even if it takes a few weeks, rather than playing a massive flirty will he won't he with players all summer. Its this pissing around that has put them in a terrible situation.

When Wenger arrived it was "Arsene Who?" from virtually everyone, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them make another unexpected appointment. I'd be very worried about Gus if Wenger gets the sack, ready made replacement who would not change the style of play much and would DEFINITELY be more than a little interested in taking over I'm sure. We'd have zilch chance of hanging onto him if Arsenal showed interest. One of only about 4 jobs I reckon he'd go for and there has to be a good chance of Wenger being shown the door/booted upstairs imminently.

I really can't STAND the posters who cleverly write "It's not about Brighton so I don't care"

1 - the thread was CLEARLY about Wenger. Don't click on it if you don't care. It's really quite easy.

2 - have you not LOOKED at the threads on NSC? Recently discussed topics include places to eat, SPANISH football, animals, holiday destinations, movies, riots etc etc etc. At least this is about FOOTBALL. I assume you never comment on ANY thread non-Albion?

Rant over.

I think wenger should go to be honest before he does anymore damage to the club and himself! it is his fault that they are in the position they are in becuase he has failed to buy any decent players!
