Remind me, how many England caps has Kalvin Phillips got?

Oh yeah, got it...nearly twice as many all Brighton players have ever had...ever

Not sure, don't really follow his career, as he isn't our player. I don't know how many caps Jesse Lingard has had either, or Fikayo Tomori, not our players. I am glad Ben had a good season in Leeds, in a decent side, made some friends, got a winners medal. But you lot are so ****ing entitled, that instead of thinking "So glad Brighton loaned Ben White to us for that season" you all think "Can't believe Brighton want him back, after we have created a good player out of their loan out failure".
The loan almost didn't go ahead because your end were insisting they wanted a buy option on the deal, our end were not interested in selling, and so it was refused, we were willing to keep him at the club if the right loan wasn't available, Potter wanted him to remain at the club, and introduce him gradually. You lot were wetting yourselves about "irreplaceable" Pontus Jansen leaving, Brighton loaned you a big favour, saved your season from being another almost one, into a winning one, but your arrogance won't let you admit it, instead you create this fiction that Ben White was about to be thrown on footballs scrapheap, until Bielsa spotted his raw potential and crafted a player out of him.
Bielsa is not a genius, he is a football autistic, obsessed with it, very knowledgeable about it, and he has some class, but absolutely none of it has rubbed off on the fans.

Well said.

I wouldn’t think twice if he was signing for Liverpool, Chelsea, City or Utd. But Arsenal? I agree with you completely that the thing they have over us mainly is $$$.

- There’s not exactly huge daylight between our squads.
- No Europe
- Toxic fan base
- No chance their club is run as well as ours
- And there’s no way Arteta is as good a coach or tactician as Potter.

???

Here’s a challenge for the Leeds and Bielsa bucket boys.

IF they truly want to take credit for developing Ben White, why haven’t you done it again? Why haven’t you got a Ben White mkII yet?

Who knows, perhaps we have...

Talking of Jesse Lingard, Brighton should take credit for some of his caps, seeing as he spent a year on loan with us.

Because I live in Sussex and my wife is a BHA season ticket holder...that OK?

Kalvin (and just as importantly his agent) has said he has no desire to leave Leeds...and anyway why would we sell him to one of our European spot rivals

Of course it is. My sympathies to your wife.

It’s not about desire to leave, it’s about interest from clubs which kicks the process off.

As for Europe …… the premier league is littered with first season wonders. Teams know how you play and more importantly how to deal with it. We managed both times last season and apparently we were crap.

how many times did you actually see him play at leeds - and live is better than tv? Bielsa encouraged him to start the attacking move, something i rarely saw him do for brighton as he never really played in the middle of defence. Leeds realised his potential and brighton have cashed in on it.

yup, thank you very much, caching......

Brighton
Reading that the deal may be £55m.

I guess we’ll never know the full figure, but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s somewhat north of £50m.

Thanks but she's been a season ticket holder for over 50 years so I thinks she's OK with it by now

When the 2021/22 Albion accounts are filed, there’s a way of working out total proceeds received on transfers out in that year. Then it’s usually not difficult to apportion that between leavers. Similarly, Arsenal’s accounts will state the true spend on players in a year.
