I genuinely think we've got a good chance of beating Arsenal, especially if they underestimate us.If Swansea get through, I think it'll be the harder game. I'm not so confident of beating them.

Edit: before anyone decides to flame me, it's just a hunch ok? I've nothing to back it up - just a hunch.

With Arsenal it depends on the type of side that Wenger puts out. Full strength, then it could be embarrassing for us. A team full of kids, then if we play really well then we have a chance.

I think Swansea will put out a full strength team, but it will depend on how tired/hungry they are.

I hope whoever we face that we give a good account of ourselves.

As to the question, I hope its Arsenal.

With absolutely no knowledge or experience apart from watching MOTD -my gut feeling is that if it is Arsenal they will probably thrash us 5-0 or thereabouts but MAY also be rubbish on the day and we'll win. Whereas if it's Swansea I am 99% sure they will beat us comfortably, 2-0 or 3-0. So Arsenal for me, but would love to watch Swansea as well.

Walcott would destroy Abd and Greer but you never know which Arsenal are going to turn up where you can pretty much guarantee Swansea will beat us.

I think we have a better chance against Arsenal but any chance is extremely low in either case. We don't want another Liverpool style dicking.

Er, this.

Arsenal please.

Two potential teams Arsenal could put out (considering Arteta is injured. Not sure If koscielny would be banned?)

Sczeszny

Gibbs
Mertesacker
Vermaelan
Sagna

Diaby
Wilshire
Cazorla

Podolski
Walcott
Oxlade Chamberlain.

Second team

Mannone

Santos
Koscielny
Squilaci
Jenkinson

Rosicky
Ramsey
Coquelin

Arshavin
Giroud
Gnabry

So based on the two options I think Wenger would be mad to do a complete reshuffle. I would expect a team a full strength team, perhaps with rosicky in for Wilshire who needs a rest and Giroud in with Walcott going wide.

Either way, it's scary.

I love that more people are saying we would have a better chance of beating Arsenal. Anyway, Arsenal just so we can have a proper sell out.

I would LOVE for that first team, to be Arsenals line up tonight and against us if they win at the Amex.

Can't see it being their full side with Chelsea, West Ham, and Liverpool coming up / either side of our game. Reckon it will be something like this:

Sczeszny

Santos
Mertesacker
Koscielny
Jenkinson

Diaby
Ramsey
Rosicky

Podolski
Giroud
Oxlade Chamberlain.

Walcott has two hatricks, so slightly skewed. Michu has probably won more points in this league than anyone.

No I agree with you. I was just playing devil's advocate.

Michu has been superb. but, Walcotts pace against us, on a big pitch, scares me.

Michu 26 games (1 as sub) 16 goals
Walcott 23 games (9 as sub) 14 goals

yea but hasnt walcott scored about 2 or 3 hattricks in that? walcott is VERY inconsistant. im not saying hes a bad player btw just would much rather play walcott than michu at the mo.
