Luton signed a striker from Crawley in the summer for £250,000, a huge fee for that division. So Nathan Jones must be buying success too.

It was a facetious comparison. The only way we'll ever know is by Guardiola managing in the lower leagues and someone like NJ being given the reigns at Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan's Bank Account FC (aka City)

Ridiculous comment. No team in the world is likely to be as good with less money.

Real, ManUre, Bayern, Chelski and PSG have been buying trophies for many years, Citeh simply joined the club. All invariably outgun the other clubs in their home leagues on fees and wages.

That’s why the likes of Spurs and Liverpool can never quite match them to get their hands on silverware. The mega spenders have squads rammed with world class players.

What is impressive is every Citeh player chased every ball even though they were 3-0 up with 10 minutes to go. Aguera chased a ball into the corner, didn't get it but wanted it. It finished like a training session for Citeh.

And the big fish are already circling Spurs to carry on what City started when they took Kyle Walker. Be interesting to see how it plays out as I can't see Spurs wanting to limp into their new stadium with a squad depleted by Real Madrid and maybe further by City.

Feck me, Keown..."A sad night for Arsenal....great leaders know when it's their time."

Sounds like a death.......need to get on Wenger's back on Sunday.

Worried we might suffer a backlash to those 2 humbling defeats they've just had. Will the real Arsenal turn up on Sunday?

Or is this the (new) real Arsenal?

This calendar year they've lost to Forest, Bournemouth, Swansea and Ostersunds. We're at least as good as any of them.
