Hardly a football genius manager with his team selection.

It doesn't help when your keeper palms the ball away straight onto an opposition player's foot.

this is the outcome of a manager that has his budget restricted by funding a new stadium and sticks religiously to his ideals against pragmatism. great football, promising players come through, but ultimatly missing the intended goal.

Wenger's had his day. It has passed. Brilliant manager but time to step aside now.

Too many ordinary and middling Premier League players in that team now. Gibbs, Ramsey, Gervinho...

He has had the money, doesn't want to spend it, if they don't qualify for c/l then that's them a mid table team for next decade or so

Was actually at the game at the Emirares today, home fans expectations to walk all over a"lower league" side met with frustrations to covert any of their possession into goals. Overheard one of the fans saying they would rather have gone out to Brighton who made more of a game of it! Can't wait to get back to my seat in the North Stand!

Blackburn weren't as cheating or as time wasting as on Tuesday but CKR goal came off keeper error in deflecting the ball in the direction of his feet!

I will never forgive Ankergren for that performance, really wanted to go to Emirates if we weren't gonna beat them.

Although I still believe that playing Ankers was a cunning plan from Gus to eliminate us from the cup so we can concentrate on the league.

What?!!

By the look of the stats Arsenal battered Blackburn yet lost by the odd goal, that's football.

At least they live within their means. More than can be said for the majority of clubs.

Hopefully if financial fair play comes into action in the top flight then they start winning lots of trophies, as deserved.

If they are desperate to win a trophy, they could do with spending less on players.

Despite

Football genius coach and manager

60,000 stadium charging £1,000 plus per s/t and huge corporate income

Abandoned foreigners youth and spending big on world class squad

Wilshire, Gibbs, Ramsey

They have mega income, the stadium is as good as paid off, but have crumbled again.

I'm shocked Arsenal haven't beaten a hasty path to your door & replaced Wenger with you, frankly. You seem to have all the answers to their problems.

If they are desperate to win a trophy they have to ditch the socialist wage structure in favour of one that rewards good footballers.

I sat surrounded by non arsenal fans (as an arsenal fan) today watching the match, I was the only one who was not supprised to see arsenal not score, run out of ideas, consead due to poor defending then go on to loose! Tell me over the years where that story has changed!

No one knows what the budget is at Arsenal or how badly has the stadium effected this budget. But remember when arsenal moved to this new multi million pound stadium we had only just become invincible, we didn't need to buy players only slowly replace the older ones.

The issues we have now are due to wenger not replacing the players who left since then.

And those high priced players he has brought in haven't always been good!

Richard Wright, Jeffers, Senderous, Reyes, Helb, Asharvin, Chamaka, Santos, Pennant, Mertsaker, Squalarci,

Retired or were past their best at Arsenal - Bergkamp, Lenhman, Pires, Ljunberg, Parlour, Keown

Sold - Campbell & Lauren (both won FA Cup), Viera, Henry, Fabrigas, Clichy, Van Pierse, Toure, Gilberto Silva, David Bently (found chances and even no.7 for England) flamini, song, Upson and even Adybyour

I would argue that maybe minus Wiltshire, and Vemarlean (when he wants to play) none of the current squad would make that team.

Wenger is consistent, FA CUP, CL, and prem every season we are there or there abouts. However before to long he will have done a full 360 with arsenal and will only be remembered for this half of his career, not the better half
