There is a lot to like about your post but definitely not Jools Holland. I'd rather be transported back into the queue for Charlton tickets than watch his smug Jazz club. Seeing the New year in with some weird band from Peru you've never heard of playing the Panpipes isn't for me.
This year’s ‘Hootenanny’ was filmed on 14th December in Maidstone. Not even JH is sad enough to waste his NYE with that crap when he could be playing with his model trains instead.
Altogether now ‘HOOTENANNY!’ ‘5...4...3...2...1, happy 15th of December everyone...I mean New Year’

I can't wait. Going also provides a ready made excuse to avoid joining the other half at the annual NYE event round the house of one of her mates. I get to watch football instead of standing in a living room while godawful music plays and I make awkward conversation with people I see once a year, who also don't want to be there...seems like I'm winning twice over.

This*. The smug Jazz club has been unwatchable for 15+ years.

I have no interest in NYE gallivanting. Only ever did, in the past, to please others. Laziness may keep me away from the Arse game, but we shall see.

*If I want mellow and contemporary, my current go-toos are Tiikk and Twisted Psychie. A few tracks recently posted on track of the day thread.

If you have 2 ST's and another 3 family members want to go you need 3 tickets not 5.
Unless your ST's are for Arsenal.......
'Bore off' is sooooo gammon, too. Sun readery, with lashings of Brexit :lolol:

Edit: and my reply now garnished with the obligatory ironic thumbs up from the former socialist and now chief "woke worrier" himself

(and that's not you @Cheeky Monkey)

Crikey, are you the fun police?? I’m not block buying, I have 2 ST’s and now 3 family members that want to attend.

Bore off.
I'M the fun police

And if you're just here to post about wanting tickets you may just find your account stops working. Perhaps join the NSC community positively or bore off yourself?

Worth reporting here that Southern turned up last night.

12 car trains running through Falmer and then let everyone pile on to the 20:00 West Coast service. Worked really well for me at least, despite all the scepticism at the start of this thread.

Not sure if it's been mentioned elsewhere, but one thing that did put a smile on the face of many a miserable git last night: they showed clips of recent encounters between the Albion and Arsenal including Boxing Day 1-1 a couple of years back. Who should pop up for the equiliser but... DJ Locadia! Had completely forgotten about that one. A rare collectors item to be treasured forever
