No one is forcing you to get one....in the future they hope that they will have the same 'power' as a Blue light card or DDS card which personally have saved me £100's

also if you are into Cruises with a DDS card you get extra spending money on board £130 for my up coming cruise. and £130 for each of my previous.
So basically £390 for £5 .....
How does that work on cruises. I'm on a cruise end of the year.

Depends on the cruise line, I have used it 3 times on P&O , you just need to send a photo of your DDS card to Guest relations or get your travel agent to do it..

the amount you get as OBC depends on your cabin type, length of cruise and type of booking.

We are also on a cruise in Nov/dec and again had no problems getting the OBC

It was so random. The difficult stuff, ID, codes, passwords, and scans were easy but it fell down on the most easy part, which was residence.
Someone on the Wrens group said to try again, and the application started where the glitch had been, so I was able to finish it.

What’s the point of having one?

I really can’t see any reason to get one.

No freebies, no discounts, etc.

You don’t get any preferential treatment at all, from my experience.

Veteran care in this country sucks, you even have to pay £30 per annum for a Veteran’s rail card.

One area America and the Aussies have got it sorted better than we have.
Blimey, £30 quid for a third of all rail fares ? £70 for three years.

I really wouldn't be griping about that. Especially if I went to Albion away matches.

Basically a truck that literally sucks the crap out of a passenger type aircraft.
