Basically a truck that literally sucks the crap out of a passenger type aircraft.
Great fun down the Falklands when emptying it out into a grated gulley at full throttle when yr still pissed from the night before.
So they know who to call back up with all this talk of conscriptionWhat’s the point of having one?
I really can’t see any reason to get one.
No freebies, no discounts, etc.
You don’t get any preferential treatment at all, from my experience.
Veteran care in this country sucks, you even have to pay £30 per annum for a Veteran’s rail card.
One area America and the Aussies have got it sorted better than we have.
Wrong Swindon type, you need the older lower case oneWith just ultra-cocky Wing Commander @SWINDON SEAGULL and penguins for company![]()

I was invited by a random email to apply last November ( i must be special!!), the application process was straightforward ( even the Govt Id app) I had forgotten all about it until last week when it arrived. It’s still at the beta testing stage, so they’re only processing small batches at a time.
i was invited to apply on Thursday, did the QR codes, scanned my passport, scanned my face, and all ok.
Then it asked for my address, postcode etc, and date I moved in (20 years ago) and said that couldn’t be verified.
Technology eh!

No one is forcing you to get one....in the future they hope that they will have the same 'power' as a Blue light card or DDS card which personally have saved me £100'sWhat’s the point of having one?

It was so random. The difficult stuff, ID, codes, passwords, and scans were easy but it fell down on the most easy part, which was residence.I was invited by a random email to apply last November ( i must be special!!), the application process was straightforward ( even the Govt Id app) I had forgotten all about it until last week when it arrived.
