Indeed, it certainly looks like we could be in the final week of our existence. No-one has any confidence in there being the required money behind this deal (except the three muppets driving it) so when Heaney fails to pay on Friday we are left with immediate liquidation or the 'contingency plan' is given a fair crack.

Trouble is this is the first unfunded administration in footballing history so Brendan Guilfoyle it seems would impose punitive fees and a lightning quick finalisation deadline on the 'white knight' rescue making it vituaully impossible to do a deal. He's given months to Kevin Heaney despite missed deadlines and missing payments, yet when the 'fan kosher' deal which is acting as safety net comes along he's going to change the rules.

Personally for me the worst outcome is being saddled with a property developing private landlord in Kevin Heaney (See Bill Archer) and a Club chairman in Peter Ridsdale who'll draw a big six figure salary. I'd actually take liquidation and rebirth over those twin 'concrete slippers' which would see us held back forever.

We all hope the contingency plan is allowed to take effect, we all suspect it won't.

It has been very muted 'down home' not nearly enough fire has reached the bellies of the locals but then that is sadly a character trait that does exist!. Meetings have started being attended better, we have marches and a vigil this week so finally things are happening. Too late I fear but hopefully that unity of spirit can be carried on into AFC Argyle if it really has to come to that.

Thanks for your kind words, i'm watching your fine start to life in the Championship with envious eyes. The Albion example though shows that you can come back from being on the ropes, just hope we don't have to take a count first.

From a Sunderland fan i honestly hope you get something sorted soon, its always sad to see a football club go under irregardless of who they are, earlier this season a Newcastle fan (of all people) gave me a link to the Argyle Trust where i donated what i could spare to help in anyway.

If Newcastle were in a similar situation or ourselves i would be in the same predicament of wanting to do what i can to help, as much as they are our biggest rivals i would hate to see them go under as its our local derby and even though i have no affiliation to Plymouth Argyle i honestly hope you get something sorted as it would be a sad loss to lose a club with so much history.
One thing still astounds me is how Risdale is allowed to be involved in football, the bloke is an absolute bellend and his hiring takes any club to the verge of liquidation.
Its easy for me to say my club being where they are and never being in the same situation, but i wish you and your fans all the best.

The only reason Ridsdale is keen to be Chairman is the thought of an annual salary of £500k. He'll soon piss off if the club has to rise from the ashes.

A fans united could help can't we trade on the positive publicity the Albion are getting by publicly linking with plmouth fans even if it is banners highlighting plymouths plight on show at Amex ...
