Still, despite some strange selections (and exclusions) they have had a couple of decent results under Maradona, and did actually qualify which at one point was looking in doubt, they played shite but no worse than before he came in. Also they have a relatively easy group, and once a team with so much talent gets going they could be difficult to stop - remember France coming within a penalty shoot out of the World Cup with Domenech in charge?

It's the best array of attacking players I've ever seen. If they can find a way to get 3 of them on the field and 'clicking' they'll score a lot of goals. If they had a more experienced/less mental manager they'd surely be favourites.

I completely forgot about that! I remember an interview with ex Barca winger Ludovic Guily in which he said Domenech had told him he wouldn't be in the the 2002/2006 squad (can't remember which) because of his star sign. Bonkers.
