Never see the Labour or Lib Dem or anyone else but the blue rosettes.

Maybe the others are somewhere and it’s just the Tory’s making themselves known but I’ve not seen any other party reps there.

Probably varies depending on where you live. When I lived in Sheffield Hallam the Lib Dems and Labour would have a couple of people hanging around but the Conservatives wouldn't bother.

I forget which party it was but I asked one of them once if he was interested in who I was or that I was voting and he just went "No".
I'm pretty sure he was with the party I was a member of at the time because I remember thinking "I'm pretty sure you're supposed to be interested".
Obviously I didn't bother saying that to him. They lost, anyway.

That's the dilemma. Do you boost the turnout enabling them to say 'numbers voting remained robust[!]' and spoil the ballot -- whose numbers will be conveniently withheld -- or do you just remain on your posterior and hope the numbers drop into single % digits?

What do you mean why? It’s incredibly common, normally by Tory voters who would never dare vote for anyone else.

I was brought up in a strong Labour household, my father was a Union man and my mother grew up in Clydebank and worked in factories and the shipyard.

I’ll never vote Tory and parties like the Lib Dems just have no appeal.

I’d vote for a socialist party if I could however I accept that’s pissin in the wind.

Nowadays to be honest I struggle to justify to myself the use of shoe leather walking to the polling station

It might be common but I struggle when people don't take both the candidate and their party's manifesto into consideration when voting. Rather than the my great grandfather voted x, my grandfather voted x and my father voted x - so I'll vote x regardless. Just strikes me as the lazy and sheep like option rather than thinking about how you will vote. Maybe it's because I'm a true floating voter but I just don't get it.

Not necessarily lazy. They just maybe expose to a view that doesn't just reflect the mainstream media bias and learned to value it. I would certainly vote socialist if possible, but sadly there is no option. Having been a Labour voter for all my voting age I'm now bereft of any options... Green seems to be the least offensive.

I really don't like doing this, but when you start picking on people with this holier than thou shit, you should be called out

And even as someone that voted UKIP this week I recognise there isn't a chance in hell that they will form the next ( or any ) government. I wonder what made Cameron change his mind on a referendum, or indeed persuaded Clegg into the debate ? IMO it's the thought of them losing votes to UKIP.

Thanks for the answer. It's just that when I see you laying into Johnson I think you're an intelligent bloke who knew all about Johnson and his history. I believe of all people, you fully understood the deal you were making and who with, when you voted. What you have got as a result really shouldn't come as a surprise
