You’d think even the Porter out brigade would give GP a break if we lose tonight.

I don’t do it much but am avoiding like the plague atm.

Frankly if you believed the Potter out brigade then we’d be nailed on for a six nil defeat with a full strength team (players not playing for him or understanding their jobs) so with five regulars unavailable id expect they believe it will be 9-0 tonight?

Personally I’m expecting a 4-2 loss.

Nonsense, the way we play it will more than likely be 2-0, our away record is far superior than our home.

5 points home
9 points away

I'm fully expecting a horror show tonight at Man City so will mostly be focusing on "Trump's Rebellion" on twitter instead.

And it's a 6pm kick off - so I'll be listening to Aspinall on the wireless while driving home in the first half anyway.

I genuinely can't be bothered to watch us tonight. I really don't enjoy watching us these days so will do something else. I'm hoping that I will be "punished" for this by missing a famous victory.

I shall be hiding behind the sofa and praying. No time for social media.

I read the thread until about 10 mins before ko and sometimes check at half time but I tend to save the full read until an hour or so after the game though it is rarely pleasant reading. I am too slow anyway to post during the match and would rather just watch or listen - even when it is bad!
It’s the swift and extreme judgement on anything that I find hardest to gel with. I guess I take a more reflective view - could also be I’m getting too old to keep up with all the relative youngsters(anyone under 63 in my case)!

Can someone explain to me why/ how they manage to post on NSC or any site during a Brighton game?

Personally I can't take my eyes of it, (sometimes in the same way as a motorway pile up).

If it's an Albion game, the house could be burning down and I wouldn't know. Not a chance i'm going to spend a moment looking at a website. Even when the ball is out of play, there is stuff to look out for, how are we setting up to defend a throw? has anyone switched flanks? how's the body language/interaction? I literally want to suck up every bit of info I can.

H/t or straight after is fine for a bit of analysis

Hell yes, particularly if March does something half decent so I can post about how wrong his critics are.

Another question about those threads. (I don't read back through them)

Is there anyone who is confident that they are keeping rational in their posting and not putting highly emotional knee jerk stuff which won't stand up to a moments scrutiny and will look a bit silly the next day?

No criticism intended. The stuff I chat to my mate when i'm at a game, is utter emotion driven pigswill.

But can you rise above the ups and downs and post sensibly?

Are there any posters who can keep their heads when all around them are losing theirs?

For me football is a social thing. If at the game I talk to people. If at home I do the same. We don’t sit in silence. I don’t need to absorb everything about the game. If there is something I want to communicate I speak to my wife and sometimes post on here.

My wife usually communicates to me during our games, "This is so effing boring"

I am calling bollocks! I say that having said that I had no interest in the Newport game and I didn’t until we kicked off

Lucky you! My wife normally says something along the lines of “how can you keep watching your team get beaten, I can’t listen to any more of your ranting, I’m off to watch George Gently (or similar ilk in bed) try not to come to bed all angry “
