I just want a manager who wants to be here firstly. Then someone who doesn’t blame the chairman for their own shortcomings. Then, if being greedy, someone who has more than one plan according to how the game is going and/or opposition.
Happy Eater, however my “ Little Chef” line is about the meetings that took place there in the Withdean era between Dick Knight and our future managers, you know that story don’t you?So which came first?
We don’t deserve a manager like De Zerbi if this level of pathetic bitching represents Brighton fans but I’m not sure it does, I’m hopeful of saying
Never heard of him.Happy Eater, however my “ Little Chef” line is about the meetings that took place there in the Withdean era between Dick Knight and our future managers, you know that story don’t you?
Bonjourno Mama Di Zerbi, Roberto sfigato!Oh do shush. The club allowed the squad to be significantly weakened between last season and this, and didn’t have it’s much vaunted succession planning ducks in a row.
We’ve been left short, and there’s not a manager on earth who could have ground out results much different to ours taking our injuries into account.
RDZ gave us an honest assessment of what would be required to compete on multiple fronts. The board either ignored him, or more likely couldn’t get deals it wanted over the line.
We reach the end of the season, we regroup and go again. RDZ has been fantastic for us, if he needs to vent to feel better let him vent. He’s human too.
Feels like we've lowered our standards and got quite complacent across the board.I rate him but he needs a squad oozing with quality to play his perfect football.
We’re light years from that now. The Albion team exactly a year ago would destroy this one. Bloom’s not going to be able to achieve that again in a hurry. Players like Baleba are prospects, no more than that. So we’re going to suffer a hell of a lot of losses and draws.
Wondering if a pragmatist is a better option, with our overrated squad?
Probably better than The Moaner from Verona (or wherever he's from).Wondering if a pragmatist is a better option, with our overrated squad?
Bonjourno Mama Di Zerbi, Roberto sfigato!
It’s that old saying about same ingredients expecting different resultsI just wish we had a Plan B
Yes we have some key players out, and that sucks, but adapt to what you have, don’t keep trying to play the same way with players who can’t do what you need / want them to
But all the injuries bar Solly has been in training or coming back to early from injury. He asking far far too much of the players. Not unlucky, Roberto is working with what he has available, and I’m definitely not his mum.
It’s demoralising and frustrating to not have the tools to do your job properly, my personal view is that he’s done well to bear the second half of this season without having an absolute meltdown.
I want him here next season, but I hope we can have a squad capable of what he’s asking. Otherwise we’re wasting each other’s time.
Nice, but more accurately, it’s The Mardy from Lombardy.Probably better than The Moaner from Verona (or wherever he's from).
If you believe Naylor (I don’t) we are going to spend like 50p in the summerBloom has a choice. Back him with money and bring in the players that can make De Zerbi ball work.
Or, get rid and find a manager that can work within the budget we want to/can spend.
All that depends on whether Bloom believes RDZ is the real deal.
