This is the only social media platform I use so I wouldn’t really get the chance to upset anyone outside of here. I would imagine Twitter would be the worst, it’s never appealed to me because I’m always hearing of “Twitter storms” and they sound simply ghastly.
It seems to be mainly arguing and judgment. I had quite enough of that from my last girlfriend, thank you so much.

I was on Instagram for a year but used it solely to ogle birds. That got boring so I deleted my account.

As for Tik Tok etc? I think that’s for the kids. I’m 45 years of age, I can’t do anything in ten seconds anymore :)

If you read 'below the line' then Twitter is absolutely not for you.

I don't and I find Twitter interesting, funny, and enjoyable.

The fact that I do not know what “below the line” means, pleases me greatly.

I’m sure there is good and bad in all SM, depending on the users intentions. So yes, I see what you are saying.

Do you read the comments below the bottom line of an article published on The Argus site?

If the answer is:-
'yes, I find the level of insight and debate both entertaining and rewarding'.
Then Twitter is very much for you.

But if the answer is:-
'no they is all mentals'.
Twitter should be used sparingly and superficially.

Ha! Very well explained!

I remember my first ever post on here. I said something slightly obnoxious to HB&B, then PM'd him to apologise because I felt bad.

The same happened when I made a joke at a moderator's expense when he was going through a rough time. Again, it played on my mind so I messaged him to apologise.

Forgive me Father, for I have sinned...

Never intend to offend anyone deliberately.

But won’t hesitate to disagree with people and let my wishy-washy liberal humanitarian socially responsible views be known. If that offends anyone, they deserve it.

I try not to get involved in the hate on here eg politics (I really like lot of Brexiteers, Remainers, Lefties and moderately Right). Why despise someone just because they hold opposing, legal, non-vile viewpoints?

This is spot on for me

I have a very small group of very close friends 'in real life'. We probably agree on most things ... but some subjects - like Brexit, politics in general - have been inflamed in the media so much that it almost forces you to have a strong view one way or the other. We've all agreed there are some things that just aren't worth getting into a discussion/argument over - as what's the point in potentially falling out on one or two things that we can't actually do anything about anyway.
