I am a teacher in a relatively small town so have met a lot of people (90% of who I don't remember ). I trained my kids from a young age to wait a while after I had bumped into someone before asking me "Who was that?" because usually the answer is "haven't got a clue" or it takes me a long while to remember - given my memory is also terrible I usually stay in the dark.
Looking at this thread though it looks like I am not alone.
