Unless you're finishing in the Champions league or Europa league spots you're still considered pretty irrelevant to the pundits. As the Spurs/Forest game just finished they did a round up of the table after now the weekends games are done, they mentioned all the big clubs and where they are and then said ''oh and brighton are still up there''. We certainly don't get the column inches and media attention on live TV games that we might but that doesn't bother me at all. Prefer to just keep quietly going about our business, behave in a sensible and rational manner (unlike Leeds and their so called fans). As long as clubs like Leeds, West Ham, Utd, and so many others keep assuming they just turn up and beat 'little old Brighton' and then end up with egg on their faces I'm more than happy. Caicedo is on the radar of all the big clubs. Trossard will be featuring on a few clubs' wish list once his contract runs down. Webster is supposedly of interest to Chelsea. I could easily see Sanchez appealing to Guardiola if Ederson continues to regress like he has been since early last season. Mac Allister may well attract attention in due course if he progresses as he has been. Lamptey is well known: he just needs a run of games.

We are in no way under the radar any more and haven't been for some time. I was subjected to a drunken ramble from a tubby Leeds fan on the train home last night, and he informed me with quite astounding insight that "If Brighton, right, y'know, had a decent striker, you know what, I reckon they'd be playin' in Europe".

If some pissed fan of the world's biggest club knows it, then sensible people elsewhere certainly do.

It won’t just be the big clubs hit by world cup fatigue or injuries even L’il Ole Brighton has a shitload of players who could be playing in it. Luckily for us if not for them Dunk, Webster and Welbeck will be having a relax. I do expect a pretty early return for the Palace twats team though
