Are we the best team in the division?

Huddersfield were a very good, and very unfancied team, just like us last season. They were quick and technical and pressed us hard. But, unlike Saturday, we matched them up everywhere and were deserved winners. On our day we are definitely one of the very best teams in the Championship and as we all know you've got to be one of the very best nearly every game to get out of this division.

Really not getting the praise for Huddersfield. They were pretty solid defensively and their keeper pulled off some good saves but their relentless time-wasting and rolling around on the floor (which, now that I mention it, I'd like to Skalak do a lot less of) showed them up to be pretty poor on the night.

Four points from four games spells mediocre.

i'm far from convinced. Sorry, but at least i'm being consistent.

Burton will be very interesting, not to mention tough. Not the kind of place Kayal and Knocky will enjoy i suspect... shades of Rotherham from last year?!? hmmmm very likely.

11th-14th.

We had a much worst spell last season.

We had a much worst spell last season.

Yes we did, but we had that amazing start to effectively live off. That and we were in the midst of a real injury crisis. This time around I've noted Hughton keeps changing his team, shape etc. each game... It's being reflected on the pitch, things are not clicking and we've already lost (proportionally) too many games.

Ill news is indeed and ill guest, but we're not going up playing like this and I include last nights hard fought victory in that. Steady, solid but sooooo mid-table it hurts.

Okay so who are the 5 better teams than us? not on current form overall.

How can you discount current form?

I think we over-performed last season but are under-performing now. Probably down to the hangover from last year but how long is that malaise going to last?

Newcastle and Norwich for me are streets ahead of everyone else and are pretty much nailed on for the autos.

I think Wednesday and Derby will get their rightful form back and be better than us. Currently there are a couple of teams playing better than us but who know how long that will last.

So overall I think we're aiming to try and sneak into the play-offs. That isn't going to change with our forward line IMO.

Really? I thought they were a good solid team, can see why they win games and they keep the ball well. They had a lot of the ball in non threatening areas but they didn't really force stockdale in to anything other than a couple of routine saves. Reminded me of us this time last year but we would of scraped a point. I don't think they were a better side then we were over the 90 minutes. We seemed to have them Sussed to a degree

Yes, fully agree. Huddersfield did plenty of tippy tappy around about the half way line, but they did not really trouble us much. We did not put in the best performance either and they were perhaps marginally better than average. I had expected more than constant time-wasting.

Huddersfield looked very average tonight, I thought 1-0 flattered them. We are 1 of the best teams in the division but clearly have our weak spots which a better team would probably take advantage of.

I'd be shocked if they finish top 6

If we were totally honest isn't that what so many forums said about us from this time last year through until around February?

Don't think we are the best team but honestly believe this season we will go up via the playoffs .

Hughton altered his team to suit the opposition, last season too.

He didn't want them to sit in. He knew they would like everyone else put an extra man on Knockeart, so playing him in the middle he hoped to try and draw them out of position. To a degree it worked but for the most part Huddersfield kept their shape well.

When they put 3 on Knocheart late in 2nd half it was just sublime to see what Knocky did to them. Not his best game but he usually gives you something to smile about in most matches
