[Albion] Are we still worrying about WBA, Sheff Utd and Fulham's results?

a galaxy far far away
If you lot can win at Liverpool, give City a good game and beat Spurs, surely you can get enough to survive. Genuinely hope you dont go down, as the derby games are highlights of the season for me, even if we did steal points in both games this season

Yeh, you lot probably want us to stay up, so you can mug us next year as well

Was thinking exactly the same last week about your lot and how we may have been dragging you into a relegation scrap and thinking what's the point of a rivalry if we seldom get to play each other. Your lot looking pretty safe now just hope we can get enough points to be able to resume the rivalry next year, shame you didn't do us much good yesterday but can't really expect it.
Hope to continue this next year if not maybe in a cup.

4/3 - Fulham v Spurs - handy if Spurs win - albion 3 ahead with a game in hand.

5/3 - Abion v Leicester - probable loss taking our game in hand away.

7/3 - Liverpool v Fulham - handy if Liverpool win - albion 3 ahead with a game in hand.

13/3 - Fulham v Man City - handy if Man City win - albion 3 ahead with 2 games in hand.

14/3 - Southampton v Albion.... go on, make a game in hand count, Albion.

^---- dates, not odds.

We could really do with Spurs winning on Thursday to ease some of the pressure...

:albion2:

Spurs looked lethal with Bale, Kane, Son and Moura in form. Fulham find scoring so tough (almost as tough as us!), they are very unlikely to outscore Tottenham but are more likely to concede the same sort of chances they conceded against us where a 3-0 win would have been possible. They’ll find that the Spurs front line will take their chances. Looking for a big Spurs score to dent their confidence.

I did not read this thread when first started and only decided to read it today ? Wish I hadn't.

This post particularly stood out when I re-read it.

This. I don’t even bother looking down anymore, only up the table. We’ll be closer to getting into Europe than getting relegated by the end of the season.

At that point in the season, with the run you were on, I thought you were going to avoid relegation comfortably, but this? :)

And I'm still not looking down, just looking forward to catching the teams above.

We're not going down, we're the best team in the bottom half. I'll admit Europe is looking unlikely though :)

Some of the dross spouted on this thread is hilarious, judging by Potter's persona on the sidelines & in interviews perhaps his beliefs align with some folk on here who are adamant we are safe and are plotting our way to a mid table finish.

I think even some of the Potter worshipers might start to smell the coffee if we don't win either of the next two games.

Go on, explain this one further.

I mean it's possible clearly. It's more likely I'd say that heads drop and they can't even maintain their current ppg.

I don't think it's impossible (maybe about a 10% chance) that we've got enough already

Clearly I didn't want it to happen but Fulham certainly have hit that purple patch I felt one of the bottom 3 could. Holefully it comes to an end soon

The answer is still NO.

We have to get out of trouble by ourselves. If we can't get another 12 points to stay up then we deserve to go down. Simple.

We all hope it doesn't happen but I'm fed up of so many people constantly worrying about other peoples results. We have to grind out the points by ourselves and I still (just) feel we can get enough to do it. It will be close, yet again, but what did any of us realistically expect at the start of the season? I'm sticking with my prediction of 16th.

The fact we've dropped points against all of them suggest we should be worried. We've had an opportunity to put distance between us and the bottom 3 but have made if even harder for our selves

I was "flamed" when I suggested that some of our wins (like against Liverpool) might be more down to their poor form than us improving our game...and that the fact we are losing or having goalless draws against teams below us is a very bad sign. But the fact is we are pretty terrible this season and there will need to be a big reset in things in the summer, and this will be if we stay up. Potterball isn't working for us, or at least the implementation isn't working.
