Kids in UK wear hiviz just to walk down the street in school activities, according to the above charity they are all in fear of crime and/or assault, FFS UK, get past this junk. You still live in one of the best countries in the world, with freedom of speech, choice and movement! Stop falling for the doom mongers lies, in my day it was the kids doing the crime! George Orwell was before his time in foretelling the dumbing down of society via propaganda.

We 'record' and 'discuss' matters endlessly today, that's the key difference.

As with all of these surveys, let's see the raw data. Where did they survey these kids? What were the actual questions. Until I see that I will assume it is sensationalist crap

Was there a questionnaire with a/b/c answers given out in schools in certain areas?

We all know that statistics can be manufactured/manipulated to suit an agenda - then the headlines are thrown around as gospel.

I also hate "78% of 67 women ask like a certain hair product" why not ask another 33 to get a minimal 100 number, why not ask 1000 people?

My second biggest fear was the rumor it made you blind....I cut down to two a day after that.

Where I grew up was the "street robbery capital of the UK" at the time. Had to have your wits about you that's for sure but didn't stop me going out or doing anything. Few times older kids tried to rob me but I either ran off or had a fight. Guess it's different seeing as kids all have iPhones and Beats headphones worth £100s on them now as all I had was maybe a Casio watch and my bus pass.
