[Albion] Are we missing a finisher?

A finisher is instinctively in the precise correct and dangerous position to ply his craft. Ferguson never is.

Surprised he don’t go with two strikers last ten Welbeck/Ferguson. Welbeck going off killed momentum. Lamptey has been better on the left straight swap for Pervis.
FB for Ferguson. We win the game and go home happy 😏

We are missing Evan Ferguson pre injury at Chelsea. He is starting to worry me a bit. Not the lack of goals and he's not missing chances, it's the fact he's not getting chances, his movement doesn't look right, he's dropping way too deep IMO, crosses didn't go in last night because we had no one in the box and that's his job. Last season when he came on he exploded into games, that isn't happening. He doesn't look 100% fit to me.

Wolves did the same as West Ham but with a little more panache (not hard I know).

Give Brighton the wings and pack out the middle.
They can't go round us and it'll be impossible to go through us.

Well it will hurt the existing strikers who will get reduced game time and development (and perhaps want to leave ? ) , it will be a very strange move given we have a striker , who half way through the season has scored 15 goals , we have a 19 year old who has scored a dozen or so goals in the PL, etc and is just getting started but sure - is inconsistent with his form. And so on.

Why should everything go out of the window when you fail to score at home (it happens) for the first time in 15 months !! ?

Stick to the plan. It's working. Its just contrarian to argue otherwise.

Since when did we become Chelsea ...
All about opinions but are you saying competition and options isn't a good thing. At the moment we have 3 strikers , one is well off form and has been for a few months, one is not and never has been a prolific goal scorer and we have been too reliant on Jao Pedro and need to balance how much we play him, he was knackered at the end and we had no striker option. We have Enciso and Fati coming back but no definite date and you can't assume they will hit the ground running (brilliant if they do).

You also managed to miss the main point is that we are too slow in getting the ball forward and that the best striker in the world would find it difficult to score when box is packed.

Sure things are going ok but there is certainly room for improvement that's not being contrarian that's about wanting the best and that is the impression RDZ puts across. We have drawn a number of games (5) which we should have won but could not take our chances, ironically last night I thought we scraped the draw.

As I said all about opinions .

Hardly. Last 15 games are W3 D8 L4 F20 A26 Pts 17. Frankly I would rather be Chelsea: W8 D2 L5 F20 A25 Pts 26 over same 15 game period.

Statistically we are back to Potterland in PL. EL has provided novelty and excitement but we were very lucky in Athens and could have lost to Marseilles.

Its not bad: lots to go for, injuries have undoubtedly cost us, exciting football etc etc but lets not overdo how good it is presently result wise.

Chelsea as in "Lets buy a striker" for stupid money cos we fancy it rather than there's an actual plan. "Do we need a finisher" is a bit preposterous for a thread really.
Not Chelsea as in their recent form.

Whilst not wanting to get involved in the Chelsea line of debate, there have been seven goalless draws in 208 Premier League games this season - that's one every 30 Premier League fixtures.

Of those seven, we've featured in two of them, and they were our last two league games.

It seems with Roberto De Zerbi you wait ages for a bore-fest to arrive, and then two come along together!

Really? 28 years old and a career spent being loaned out from one Scottish club to another - oh, and a season at Beerschott! Talking of finishers from Scotland, we can forget about recalling Sima now......................

Sorry, I meant I have no idea what "you've had an old team out the pitch" means. I'm very tired but I've read it multiple times and still none the wiser. Is it a typo or am I missing something? 🤔
i have worked with a yam yam on and off for over 15 years , he still comes out with stuff that makes me think " ye wah ?"

Meant last night not the whole season but we have had a couple of games where we try and walk it in or make very poor decisions in front of goal.
To quote Richard Richard, I wish, I just wish....that everything could be completely different.

Oh, hang on......no. No, I don't.

Last night was just weird, as @Bozza noted. I think we have to accept that the roller coaster occasionally will dip.
