Don't think we will sign anyone this week but I am fully confident with our current squad...any additions now are a bonus.

Why are people still talking about goalkeepers? Gus said weeks ago that he was happy with what he had. He has repeatedly said what he is looking for - centre back cover (and possibly full back too), midfielder and striker - and has never mentioned keepers.

We have a relatively small squad and three keepers already, I can't see us running four keepers - as strings said, even Gus has to balance the books.

Let Brezovan go on a free transfer.

i think he will be thinking about getting a new goalkeeper in as if ankergren gets an injurie i can see us letting alot more goals in as i dont think brez or poke could make the step up

no way would either of them leave !!!

I agree - neither would want to leave. However, we can't have loads of centre backs on the books. Gus doesn't have a limitless budget. This is why I suspect that any centre-back signing would be half-season loan only. If we signed a centre back on a pernament basis, we would have to trim down somewhere.

My personal opinion, a Goalkeeper, Centre back, and central midfielder is all we need, and probably in that order. Yes I know Gus said he was happy with the keepers, but maybe after all these comments about how mistakes have to be cut and all that, he's realised we need competition for Casper? Pains me to say it as he's a top bloke, but think its Brezovan who should be shown the door, make him available on a free and i'm sure he'd be snapped up by a L1 club. He didn't impress me at L1 level, and the Championships a whole new level.
After all, a mistake in goal will cost you more than in any other area of the pitch, and we seem to be making a few.

With a week to go id be happy if we just brought in a CB. Its a huge gamble to only have Greer and Dunk fit going into a Championship season. Dunk will grow into a fine player but he doesn't need his confidence crushed by a couple of mistakes early on in the season and this could happen with the quality we will face. Billy Sharp on sat for a start. What happens if him or Greer get injured on sent off too?!

Going forward we do desperately need another good keeper. As I stated on another thread prior to sat Brez is so far from up to Champ standard, sadly the Spurs game only backed up what I thought. It was obvious after Wycombe away he was prone to costly errors, sadly for him nothings changed.

If I know this im sure Gus does though!

Never been impressed with Brezovan. For a big guy he doesn't dominate his box enough and after Saturday, think he went to the Kuiper's school of kicking the ball out.

So, for me, definitely a new keeper as back-up, although maybe Gus is of the opinion that Poke will be a better number 2. Either way, in Gus we trust.

Have most people started the Brez out campaign based purely on Sat or have others seen him play regularly for the Albion in an actual competitive match(es) - genuine question...

Here's a goalkeeper who would love to play for Brighton.
