If we’re being told that we’re creating chance after chance, with Maupay and Connolly fluffing their lines, perhaps Muzza could tuck some of them away.
He would, plus the 1st Bournemouth goal tonight, is just the sort of goal we could score with Murray on the pitch, Dunk, Stephens, Propper, Gross, March, Trossard, Ali J all have the ability to ping one to him as an out ball, put Maupay next to him and he'll possible get more clear cut chances than trying to play it through the opposition back 4 as a lone striker. Its what Burnley do every week with Wood and Barnes.
Not advocating going purely long ball, but some variation on what is clearly toothless and failing at present. We're in the shit and its not the time for philosophy or certain styles, we're crying out for some pragmatism to try and get the ball in the net by any means possible. Tika Taka/long ball who gives a f***. With Murray we have a few viable options which are being completely ignored in favour of a totally out of form teenager.
