Am I missing something here. I thought when teams were level on points it was the result between the two teams that determine which team is higher. After that it is goal difference.

So, how are Denmark shown in 2nd place on equal points with both Russia and Finland both of which beat Denmark???

Russia didn't beat Denmark, they're losing 4-1 to them!

With the three teams on 3 points it becomes a "mini-league" between them to determine positions.

With third place guranteed to be on 3 points and Ukraine on 3 this means England are definitely through.

I absolutely need to know what Denmark has done to upset one of the nicest men in football:-

Exceptionally good point that I overlooked however Finland did beat Denmark?

Finland beat Denmark, Russia beat Finland, Denmark are going to beat Russia. They each have three points from the games between the three teams. It then goes to goal difference in those matches, and Denmark come out on top.

They've all won a game each.

As there are 3 teams tied to decide second place you look at all three results between the tied sides (you don't count the games against Belgium)

Finland 1 Denmark 0
Russia 1 Finland 0
Denmark 4 Russia 1

All 3 teams have 3 points so the next tie break is GD, Denmark have the superior GD (+2 in the head to head games) so take second place. Finland finish 3rd (0 gd) and Russia 4th (-2 gd).

Euro 92. Probably his first experience of football. Bless him. Good to get rid of grudges.

There were certainly some limbs flying around in Copenhagen each time the Danes scored.
It was a throwback to pre-Covid days. Let's hope we can see similar scenes in English grounds next season.

Magical game. Full crowd + so much drama. Christiansen’s goal is moment of the tournament and this was absolutely the game of the competition. Get in Denmark!!! Hope they smash the Welsh on Saturday!

Christiansen’s goal is moment of the tournament...

It's taken many, many years - but finally I've seen the precise goal I always dreamed of scoring in front of the North Stand at the Goldstone when I was playing football in the playground as a kid.

You do have to feel a bit for the keeper though - two good stops, then wham!
