Because too many people thought that Wilkins' boys were better than they are.
I was convinced they'd finished 5th until I looked back at the table.

teams who have never played at withdean and therefore it was like when we first got there. Fortress.
Really? So Leicester have not played us at Withdean? :thud:
Fair dos. How many times. I do remember going to a frindley there a while back.
No. It was Wilkins' dream. DK realised ages ago that it isn't achievable if the Club wants to play at Championship level.Wasn't it DK's dream to have 11 of Wilkins youth products eventually starting a game for The Albion? Was he one of the 'too many people'?

At the risk of getting into trouble with the lovely Deb ... yes.Did he tell you that ?
So are you admitting that Wilkins was getting the best out of them and therefore was a top manager that should NEVER have been sacked for a PR Manager?
The fans impatience / expectation level
why isn't there an option for those as much to blame as the two options given?
Because that wasn't the question Harty posed... "Is it Adams fault or is he not getting help from above" was what was asked, didn't you read the opening post?... If that was part of his question it would have been added on the poll!
Absolutely NOT. The Albion's youth policy was superb under Wilkins... and apparently we now hear from the horses mouth that the Youth policy is a waste of time.

The mistake was believing that a superb youth policy would be enough to deliver sustainable Championship football.
Undoubtedly, most of them gave their best to Wilkins. But we need to get into the Championship and STAY there. As a squad, they were never good enough to achieve that.
That explains it, yet more people unable of individual thought and only able to repeat what others have said - Sums up NSC rather well then.
