Because too many people thought that Wilkins' boys were better than they are.

So are you admitting that Wilkins was getting the best out of them and therefore was a top manager that should NEVER have been sacked for a PR Manager?

why isn't there an option for those as much to blame as the two options given?

The fans impatience / expectation level

We didn't start the home campaign well and after the first couple of matches at home, so some fans turned on Mickey and the Team and the moans etc have been constant, and everyone with half a braincell knows that players / managers under pressure do not perform as well as they could be expected to.

The expectation was instant success because of our 7th place finish last season, and Adams wasn't allowed to settle at the club before calls for him to go, the lack of support for the team the entire season has been extremely shocking.

And fans constantly slagging off our players, often before they even get on the pitch they are abused by some, stating that they should f@ck off, and arn't good enough for even the conference. - how does this serve any purpose other than destroy confidence and reduce any chance we have of positive results?

so how will changing the manager make any difference, these fans willstill demand instant success, they will still berate our players and undermine them?

No wonder they do better away from home, or against teams where we are written off before the match starts (Man city, Leicester and Millwall)

The trouble is i can't see these fans changing and finally geting behind the team whoever is in charge, we played poor football under McGhee but he was given time due to his record, yet Adams wasn't, despite his success in his first spell

Undoubtedly, most of them gave their best to Wilkins. But we need to get into the Championship and STAY there. As a squad, they were never good enough to achieve that.

Because that wasn't the question Harty posed... "Is it Adams fault or is he not getting help from above" was what was asked, didn't you read the opening post?... If that was part of his question it would have been added on the poll!

Right, so it's God's fault...

That explains it, yet more people unable of individual thought and only able to repeat what others have said - Sums up NSC rather well then.

Absolutely NOT. The Albion's youth policy was superb under Wilkins.

The mistake was believing that a superb youth policy would be enough to deliver sustainable Championship football.

... and that belief was blown away for what ?

I think the club got carried away after the stadium was finalised. I'd be happy with sustainable League One football at the moment.

But with Hammond and a few additions this year we could have got to the Championship under Wilkins and then with the bigger revenue of the Championship games and the extra cash for being in the championship perhaps with Deans knowledge of the country's youth players he could have strengthened the squad at a reduced rate until we had a big backer in place.

Dk made a massive blunder and more importantly kicked a loyal servant to the club squarely in the face and it's that alone that i have lost all respect for Dicks previous achievements.

Possibly one of the most retarded questions ever asked.

Who's fault is it that we play hoof ball? Adams.
Who's fault is it that we have a shit squad and use loan players to cover the cracks? Adams.
Who's fault is it that we have 1 win in 10 games? Adams.

I think most of us are capable of individual thought. The point of this thread is to discuss the question that Harty posed. I don't really see where the difficulty is here...
