...seem hell bent on throwing money down the drain?

We do not have a multi-millionaire Brighton Fan (or certainly not one that has reared his/her head) and we seem to be very limited in the way of capacity. I.e. Unless the board are happy to charge £40+ for a ticket and/or the fan is prepared to pay that amount, then I think we are deluding ourselves when it comes to a rich saviour.

I feel we are destined to be an also ran in the Championship/Good league one side.

i don't think brighton are any better or worse prospect for a rich person to ride into town and play around with than most other lower championship/league one clubs. but i think rich people riding into town and playing around with such football clubs will be few and far between.

i mean, i hope you move to falmer, get good crowds, do well. but at the same time by the time you move in 2011 (?) the gulf then between the rich and the poor will have widened even further than now. to take a 'poor' club into the realms of the rich will be something massive, not one or two seasons and a quick return, but a long term, expensive venture with absolutely no guarantees.
and without someone actually being a brighton fan and wanting to invest and do well because his heart is in the right place (and look what happened to us when we played that game - money or not) why would someone want to do that? not just at brighton, but at oldham, leeds, leyton orient, anyone. i know you will have a nice new stadium and all that goes with it in your favour. but like i said, by 2011 just how big is that gulf going to be between the haves and the haves not and is a new stadium (will it be full?) enough to force someone's hand.

of course, the premiership might implode up it's own arse (unlikely) and there might be the super league but that won't change much.

have had a few beers so not sure any of that says what i mean it to say. the destiny of being a championship/league one side is a pretty good one if you ask me.

Providing the new stadium has the capability to be able to increase the capacity then I believe that we have the potential to become a force within the Premier League and as such a good proposition for anybody with the money to see this through. Anybody with the money of Abramovich has nothing to lose with a new stadium, the nearest team 50 miles away, easy access to London and Gatwick so a good catchment area. Everything anybody would want to establish a reasonable side similar to Aston Villa,West Ham, Bolton etc and possibly challenge for minor trophies or EUFA place.
