Places like the Joogleberry and Komedia attract real mixed crowds and have a bit of a "cool" factor to them too. Only things is, when was the last time you bought yourself a new set of clobber. Although these venues aren't really pretentious, a new wardrobe can work wonders for confidence. And don't let the shop assistant con you into buying stuff that you're not sure about either. If you think you look awesome then I'm sure you will feel awesome too. (Opens up the floodgate for more piss take..)

Dont just think about club nights only.. There are usually loads of gigs with bands that are for the older mob too. See if there are any covers bands playing older stuff which will attract an older crowd. You might land yourself a leather cladded rock chick. HMMmmmm..

If you like blues and country, check out the Ranelagh pub on St James St. That is a well known pub to people in the know. Great beers, friendly staff. Very friendly punters who range from 18-80. If you dont like country and blues go anyway, you might change your mind. Your bound to get chatting to people there and I'm sure you will find some fitties there too.

Does anyone know of any clubs in Brighton where an attractive middle aged man with sexy greying hair could meet some ladies say 30 - 45 ?.

I am planning a night out next Saturday to embrace my singledom and do not want to feel like

1. A dirty old Man perving the teeenage girls
2. A desperado who would kop off with anything wearing a skirt
3. An outsider in an establisement full of Grey rinses

Is there such a venue in Brighton or should I just stay in and watch Casualty instead ?.

Saddo alert............PS, what is a cliib??

To be honest Gareth, with your taste in music, such a venture is doomed to failure.

Seriously, would suggest you try a folk cliib or a blues cliib, hook up with some earth mother hippychick type.

Surprisingly The Greyhound Stadium was pretty good for the older ladies. Mowtown and Soul night, I really enjoyed myself, and was one of the younger people in there.

Friday nights is the new place to be

seems to be the answer, a couple of ladies early 40s give it large at the dog stadium at the mo-town night.

always comming back to work on a monday talking of middle age fiendishness!
