[Albion] Are Our Current Crop Of Players Any Better?

The debarcle of the last few weeks has left me wondering, are the players we have brought to the Club really any better than those that they replaced since we were promoted from the Championship? Without even having to give it too much thought l'd have to say no.

Ok there has been the odd esception, in that Bernardo is better than Bong, Ryan, (if we discount the last few games), better than Stockdale. After that though l am really struggling, and when l think of how many tens of millions, maybe more, that these 'better' replacements have cost the club . . .

I was thinking the same after the game. Our promotion team would have given Cardiff a hiding.

The team has been replaced at the expense of a collection of individual players. People like Kayal and even Hemed and Baldock are leaders.

Probably are, the opposition is just much better and the organisation and drive has dissapeared since January.

Ali J = Skalak
Propper > Norwood
Ryan > Stockdale
Bissouma > Sidwell (although Sidwell's experience and leadership was invaluable)
Andone > Baldock
Montoya = Rosenior
Balogun = Goldson
Burn = Uwe
I'm not quite sure who Gross is comparable to, but he showed himself to be an outstanding player last season.

To summarise: the players are better; the team isn't at this moment.

Indeed. Akpom was never our player anyway, (fortunately), and only played a very few games on loan.

Looking overall the players bought in are no better maybe a slight improvement but this is the premier league there was a huge improvement needed to compete which over 33 games so far we haven't been able to do
