Portsmouth, Leicester, Southampton, Palace etc etc have gone into Administration (some several times) and survived.

Rangers with their stadium and vast fan base will too.

They have bidders. Portsmouth, for example have none.

The bidders/Administrator, are just in a waiting game with the SFA, as to how spiteful and lengthy will their second lot of punishments for the same 'offence' be.

and where is the Taxman in this ?

The 2 cases has reached judgement yet.

Like the Palace, Leicester and all the others, so far, the taxman (us) got nowt due to the unique insolvency rule of the football 'family' (players and oter clubs) getting their £m's first.

That explains why an 'expert' said this week a deal with HMRC will be reached for HMRC to receive a large sum.

That's one rule we could adopt from the Scots.

Instead of Kitson & Ben Haim carrying on receiving their £m's even now, HMRC and local suppliers would get a share too (to use the Pompey example).

Time was when Rangers Social Club alone was contributing a million quid into club funds over the course of a season. Times change. But with a rabid fanbase they could have raked in big money forevermore. But somebody in the board got greedy and/or stupid. Obviously.

The BEST thing in all of this is that this year the 2 champions league places for Scotland are taken by Celtic ( obviously ) and Motherwell.

Interesting dilemma when you consider Glasgow Rangers and the likes of Pompeyscum. Can't really hold the fans responsible for the bad behaviours of the club's owners. Punish the directors and those responsible and not the supporters.
I still think that HMRC are not laying their full hand in this game at Rangers. If the CVA comes into effect I don't know what future comeback there wil be on the club by HMRC.

Bill Miller has withdrawn his bid (it was the only approved one) after fans chanted 'YANK GO HOME'

Doesn't look good now Bill Miller has been frightened off. One radio report stated he has diplomatically put this down to over optimistic views of their financial plight that have come to light now he has had a proper look at the books.

You can understand Rangers fans being wary of a US owner what with the Glaziers / Gilette experience and the franchise mentality that some US owners have etc - but as another report states Miller was frightened off by chants of 'Yanks go Home' which might be rather naiveof the fans if no other bidder comes forward. Equally you have to wonder if Miller had the stomach for the task as he could expect to experience far worse abuse during the Old Firm fixtures.
