Are Falmer ramp up events a formality??

Imagine the outcry if the ramp up events went horribly wrong and we endured another season at Withdean. Im not being a prophet of doom i just assumed like most that passing these things is a forgone conclusion. But there will only be a 3 month window from May-August to complete all the necessary requirements if something does go wrong.

However i have no idea about construction so could well be barking up the wrong tree here?

It will be to please health and safety etc. So potentially, yes it could cause a delay

Its to get the Safety Certificate required, and typically it'll be a couple of limited capacity events.

Not sure I'd want to go along to one of those. I'll keep my powder dry for the first proper MATCH I reckons.

We went to one of the Wembley ones... it was well organised and a great chance for a sneak preview.

I know what you mean. I want my first impression of the promised land to be on the opening day of the season with a sell out crowd. I may actually wee myself at that point.

What a scandal that would be if we had an extra season at Withdean. It would be immense if it opened the first day of the season.

I suspect the worst that could happen is that we'd be at Falmer a couple of months late. This would be more of a headache for the Albion ticket people than anything else, seeing as we'll have more season ticket holders in our first season at Falmer than Withdean could even hold!

I think its scheduled to be pretty much finished around Jan / Feb next year, so the ramp-ups will probably be next Spring, early summer presumably.

Expect them to be done in enough time that if something went wrong it can be rectified before the start of the season

That would be fantastic, any way of putting it to the club? I am sure you would get a bumper crowd from both clubs there.

I doubt they would do it though to be honest. Brighton v Palace would be one hell of a test.:)

Plus we would rather have a 'glamour club'!

One of the ramp up events could be a gig.

I think it has already been discussed and I believe there is a chance of it happening.

I have been very lucky to play in the REMF games and the thought of playing it at Falmer in front of a few thousand makes me a TINY bit excited.......
