Doing what again? Please stop throwing your toys out of the pram because at some point - probably after this post - I’m going to stop picking them up.😉🙂

You started a thread that asks people’s opinions via poll questions that frankly need a crystal ball at this stage to answer in the specific. The only sensible answer for me was the ‘opt out’ which I chose.
You then immediately criticised my post because you did not like the fact I voted for that answer. I made no allegations why you started the thread I simply asked you if it was to highlight RDZs apparent ‘failings’ last season which I said were totally irrelevant to your thread topic.

As I said, if we have a good summer window ( down to TB/PB) get a manager at least as good as RDZ to develop the system (down to TB/PB) don’t have the injuries we had last season and smaller clubs don’t push us down in the pecking order any more than we are with an injection of major investment from buyouts/floating shares etc we will not be relegated. All pointed out in my original post and follow up. Sorry if you just have a different opinion,

Sheesh - last time I do a poll on a thread like lthis where voting for a particular poll answer provided by the OP is not accepted by the OP and you then have to spend half the day justifying why you chose it.

🙄

OK I give in please stop answering any of my posts and I’ll do likewise

Was chatting with someone earlier and we put this side together of players we’ve sold in the last 2-3 years. (A liberty taken with Colwill to complete the XI). I still think RDZ did pretty well with he was given to finish 11th and it would be remarkable if we weren’t in a relegation scrap having lost all these (unless we strengthen). Admittedly a bit weak up front and lacking width but this team would beat our current team imo

I ticked yes. Simply because we are genuinely in danger of being in a relegation battle. Will we actually be in one? How the hell should I know?

Are we genuinely capable of winning a cup? Yes.
Are we genuinely capable of getting into Europe? Yes.
Might we get relegated? Yes.

Will any of it happen? I don't know.

(Still haven't got the hang of social media, have I?).

Would cost a lot to assemble that team today.
I think Maupay was the most expensive of those, to us.

I’ve been saying this for a while. My concerns:

- New manager. Always a risk
- Gross potentially leaving
- Ages of senior players (Dunk, Gross, Veltman, Wellbeck etc)
- 18 points from 19 games
- inconsistency of many players (Buonanotte, Baleba, Igor, Webster etc)
- Lack of partnerships across the pitch
- So much work to do in the window. 5/6 needed, then need to bed in
- Relative strength of league this year
- Issues in at both ends of the pitch. The goals have dried up and we’re conceding plenty

I think with 2 of the 3 reportedly on the shortlist, it wouldnt take a lot for us to be in the wrong half of the table, very disappointing that there’s no foreign coaches with pedigree and experience in the running, we were led to believe we‘re an attractive proposition for top coaches throughout Europe

Trossard was replaced by the much better Mitoma and the outstanding improvement in Solly, Good riddance to Maupay, we have Pedro plus Ferguson and Enciso, not to mention Adringa and Welbeck. The midfield took a clouting with Ali Mac and Caidedo and is clearly the area we need to strengthen, the defence is just strong enough provided the new manager doesn't encourage suicidal passing in the goal area and Colwill was never ours. The main issue isn't the quality of players it's keeping them from season long injuries, which TB has already started to address with the shake up in the medical team. I really don't get the pessimism, we have a very strong squad of players with a couple of gaps to fill. Not having a coach is hardly and issue right now as the training ground is empty and no doubt the selection teams are working their butts off to sort that one out and the new players.
