Applying for tickets before they are on sale

Any application for tickets sent in before the club has officially announced details etc, should be void.

It pisses me off when people send in for tickets early, sometimes by weeks.

Your comments?

Look Artois, today's officially designated Spurs tix scapegoat is the SUPPORTERS CLUB.

People who send tickets in early are being scapegoated TOMORROW. Now stop sending your scapegoats in early to try and beat the rush - this thread should be voided by the mods.

Not talking specifically about the Spurs game but some of us need to guarantee they have a ticket before making costly travel and accommodation arrangements as we may only get one or two chances a year to see our team.

I think you should be able to apply for tickets as soon as the fixture list is released... If you're not commited enough then u might not get one, simple.

I wouldn't have a problem with that.

-edit-

having just thought about this for a nanosecond longer it is probably a crap idea! You would need a shit load of money up front especially if you are forking out for a season ticket aswell!

Surely early applications won't count.
Why would the club then announce when they are NOW accepting postal applications when they always were?
If you catch my drift.......:glare:

There were "stacks" of applications in early for Grimsby away at the end of our last Division 1 season and I suspect there will be the same for Rotherham if we are still in the mix.

Only way round it is a ballot

I would imagine early applications get processed with the first lot of 'proper' applications received. So, to use Tottenham as as example, they would have started processing them on Wednesday.

We discourage postal applications being sent in before an away game is advertised as "on sale" and early applications will not be accepted for away matches that we expect to be over subscribed.
