Apparently you're not allowed in the field behind the east stand at Falmer

I hope we can use it. I was picturing a big beer tent, hog roasts and picnic area in decent weather.

That would be amazing.

if its church land, isnt it de-facto public? and then its uncultivated downland, so covered under the Right to Roam?

That's what I was thinking, given that it IS church land don't we have a right to access it?

No. The Church own land and properies (a lot less than they used to) which is leased/rented to all sorts of people for all sorts of purposes.

It is as private as my back garden... unless there are covenants or public rights of way that say otherwise.

Well, it's a WAY for the PUBLIC to see the back OF the east stand, RIGHT?

oh, and a small point I know, but we DON'T HAVE planning permission, or in fact ANY permission of any sort to build on that land.

But don't let that worry you!

Is that an issue? There are not any plans to build on it are there? I still plan to use it pre match in the summer assuming it's easily accessed.

Give it time and it will be a hotel. Not any time soon, mind.

I would have thought it will be fenced off and made inaccessible from the stadium complex. Clever things these new fangled things called fences

And as far as I remember, no "keep out" signs

We don't need a hotel, half th case for the stadium is that it'll help the hundreds of hotels in town. A giant climbing wall or swimming pool and bard would be much better
