That's an amazing signing, up there with us possibly getting Ferdi.
This year's league is going to be very, very hard.

Fair enough but on the two visits I have made there were plenty of homophobic chants and the stadium was tinpot. Yes I know Withdean was too

No offence intended to you but having Smug as manager at the same time spiked my dislike

My visits were well before we made the PL…and I think we lost both times!

I have to confess to being impressed with your football in both games last season.
Haha - no worries. Lots more homophobic chanting back then wasn't there - gladly it's generally died out, hopefully can stay that way.

Yep it's going to be an interesting season, you lot should be having a better season by the looks of the signings.

Last time I went to the AMEX was that stormy New Years day in the championship (1-1).

God knows how that went ahead, excellent drainage ;)

Apparently they can still do anti immigration protests, one planned for this weekend outside the town hall - that’ll tell Whitehall

If you had never heard of either player. But someone told you that you could sign a player named "Evanilson" from Portugal's best club or a player called "Rutter" from a laughing stock Championship team.

All day long you would go for Evanilson

I confess to knowing nothing about this summers six signings and two potentials before I saw the rumours on here

And....end of thread. Will dianne ever learn? Can't be bothered to rectify autocorrect. It has a certain poetry...

No it isn't;)

Dwayne was spot on. When we turned you over 3-0 (we also had Injuries - 9 changes for that game) and went 4 points clear of you it felt that we'd reached some kind of parity on the pitch plus we were clearly the better team in better form and had been for months.

That matchday thread of yours read like an advert for the Samaritans, sack the manager, what are they doing in training, relegation here we come etc

Anyway glad you've now sorted it (y)...really I am.

plucky

(and no I'd never heard of this kid either)

We had a bad run of form, not helped by a constant injury crisis and very young players being forced to play loads of games when not fully fit themselves, such as Ferguson.

And then not helped by it seeming like RDZ was going to leave. We gave up.

They took 27 points from their second half of the season. We took 16 points !! You can't just put that all down to injuries. We were rubbish they were really good.

Does that mean they got 21 points in the first half, and we got 32? So they were a bit crap and we were amazing.

FWIW Evanilson didn't make the Primeira Liga's team of the season but Rutter made the Championship's. In terms of goals scored he was joint tenth.
