Worthing
Speedway would be just GRAND in B&H, at Withdean maybe, or the greyhound stadium. Anybody know if there was ever a track in town? Can't see anything obvious on Google.

Am I right in thinking, that about 30 years ago, when I went to see the Albion at Peteborough, there was speedway at half time?

Bob Dugard tried to get it on at the Greyhound Stadium in the 70s. Local residents didn't like the idea of the noise. There was some testing but it came to nothing. Only other speedway in Sussex was in the 40s when Dugard's father promoted at the Pilot Field in Hastings.

Watchin the boats go by
Bob Dugard is the best track specialist in the buisness, plus he taught me how to ride a speedway bike.

He is, although some of the riders weren't best pleased with the surface tonight, although I don't think many of the 10-15 MAJOR incidents tonight were actually surface related!

What an incredible meeting, literally one in a million topped of by Cam's INCREDIBLE overtake on the penultimate lap!

You don't hear this said often on NSC but..... 'GO EAGLES!'

With all the years of me watching Eastbourne Eagles, that had to be the most extraordinary night I've ever witnessed. God knows what team we'll put out against them on Thursday night? how the hell did Davey Watt hurt his wrists on heat 15? I'm hoping Floppy is ok, because he is a electrician at trade. Bridger has f***ed his calf muscle teared it to shreds by the looks of it with that blood gashing from his leg. The only best highlight of the night was Woodward superb pass off Leigh Adams and Travis Mcgowen to claim three massive and crucial three points to go joint third.

In my defence, I was left unsupervised.

I really quite like speedway, it's the only form of motorised sport I have any time for.

I hope no Formula 1 fans were watching last night; bless 'em, if they can get excited over hour upon tedious hour of motorised processions then they'd all have had heart attacks at the level of action.

What a bizarre night of speedway, absolutely fantastic though, best sporting spectacle for a long while that was... And what a ride in that last heat by Cameron Woodward passing both Swindon riders in one move!

Brilliant stuff. I suppose there can be some very average meetings but it's always worth it when heats like this crop up - very hard to beat for getting the hairs on your neck standing.

Just watched the meeting back on Sky, after freezing my nuts off last night actually being there! Defintely worth the frost bite.

Cameron's double-overtake was probably one of the best passing moves you'll see on a speedway track, showed guts using the outside line, when most other riders on the night struggled with it. :clap2:
