Or more like the George O'Dowd/Kirk Brandon show :safeway2:

I thought Kirk went to court to deny just being in bed with Boy George, let alone all of that.

Anyway, I quite enjoyed it.
I thought it was one of those dramas that I watched 'around' the main performance.
I enjoyed the music and Steve Strange/Malcolm McLaren send ups, and the general look of the programme. But didn't really engage with BG.

I saw it. Not bad.
Still not sure though - IS he gay or not ?

No I thought it was crap, seemed to be interested in just showing whom Boy George's sexual relationships were with rather than showing how or why he broke into music and how he got his breaks. The furore that was around Top of the Pops when he first appeared was something I can remember (over whether he was a man or a woman) yet that wasn't even mentioned. Utter gash.

The hour-long documentary on 80's music that was on straight after was excellent.

I thought it might have been, I was just too tired to set the video.
Guess I'll I-player it.

I enjoyed it, thought it was really good, and a excellent send up of Mcclaren.
Could have given a bit more detail, there were a lot of gaps.

sounds interesting, I rember KB getting well bent out of joint over the Boy George alleagations back in the day - talk about original sin.......

Yeah me too, I seem to remember it being more inferred than 'outright'.
That aspect of last nights drama started with them lying in bed, together, fully clothed, which is all I remembered KB saying never happened.
But the drama last night, went on from that to a full blown (pardon the pun) relationship.

Presumably Brandon was party to this portrayal or he could sue again. He is still around locally, he lived in Lewes and was teaching guitar a couple of years ago. Saw him supporting Stiff Little Fingers at Concorde 2 a couple of years and my missus (who acts as landlord for the Council) saw him hanging out there recently. Mind you it is adjacent to Duke's Mound so read into that what you will!

I guess he doesn't have to be a part of it, assuming the people that did make it know their portrayal to be FACT.

Yeah that was my view... prolly would have been better if spread out over two programmes at 60 mins each rather then 90 mins in one hit.. lots seemed to be glossed over too quickly
