in a house
Saw a couple of blokes outside the north stand wearing manure tee shirts, heard them say they had tickets for the north stand, went over and told them they wouldn't get in with those shirts on. One insisted they would, no problem. Mentioned it to steward on the gate and he said absolutely no way. 2 seats next to me usually has 2 regulars but both seats stayed empty, hoping these blokes had those seats so wasted their money.

Deserved to lose their money. Not for being United, but for being f***ing stupid idiots :dunce:

A fair few newbies in the ESL.
Considerably more than usual rolls of film was being used.

Bonusprint is going to be very busy today

I find this very hard to believe. The Bonusprint laboratory won't receive the undeveloped films in the post until Wednesday, Tuesday at the very earliest.

Is being in Spain something to show off about then!??

That context was needed for the story. I guess if half the utd players are off on the beach now might go some way to explaining yesterday's monstrosity

Our ST bus parked up around 4.30pm and all seemed quiet then. But on getting to the top of the steps heading back after the game there was a big chap - Brighton colours - with claret all over his face. A number of police around him and heard one of them talking to the chap about who had smacked him one. They seemed to know which group the Utd thug was part of. More police in the coach park area than usual - with exception of Palace game.

Didn’t realise it had actually kicked off

We walked through a group of United from car park entrance side path. They took no notice of us but were shouting “fook off Brighton at a congregation of fans heading back to the coaches

This is unacceptable. They may not have much to play for, but the integrity of the league needs teams to give their all in every match, it's not fair one team faces a full stength united, and another a half-hearted one. They owe their fans a performance. I hope to see them put the hammer to their opponents in their last game of the season.

I probably would have used the word "triumph" rather that "monstrosity".

Seeing it from their PoV rather than ours is a bit too Sky Sports for me.

Way more half and half scarfs than I've ever seen in my time in the WSL. (West stand lower not Women's super league) Scary looking bloke sat in front of us yesterday surprisingly motionless for our goals. Only stood up when Cavani scored only to embarassingly shuffle out once it was ruled out for offside!

That’d be celebratory Manure fan and part-time scarecrow, Mick Hucknall.

This...I've lost count of the number of times I've sat or stood in the home end at an away ground.

My suspicion is there is more of this when we play one of the London big three, probably because a lot of Brightonians are descended from cockney wankers and have inherited their club. Mind you, by that logic, I should be a Lion. And that would never do.

There were no interlopers in our part of West Upper yesterday as far as I was aware. Although....I've never seen the bloke sitting next to me before ???

I’ve only done that once ( sat in home end at our away match) and I’d never do it again. Just didn’t feel right having to join in with the chanting against my team!

Ah.

Well, as we all should know, from our experience at the Amex, there is no need to join in with any chanting, for or against anything. No sir. Absolutely not necessary. In fact, in some parts of the home areas at the Amex, chnting of any sort would be positively frowned upon

I've sat in the home end many times at away games. Never joined in with the chanting, just act like a neutral and not celebrate a brighton goal, but maybe clap a home goal. Its what I did at Milwall.

We had a Manc sitting with us, but only for the second half. Whilst everyone around him was going wild as the second, third and fourth goals went in, he just remained seated, politely clapping to at least make an effort to demonstrate he wasn’t somewhere he shouldn’t be!

He spent most of his time taking photos of the away end!

Not sure if he wAs an United fan, but a well dressed young asian guy came back to his seat in the 1901 with a pint of beer? He was eventually talked to by a steward and beer taken away.
