One of the nastiest moments I've had at a football match, it was just a very hard tackle and I heard the leg break and I think most of the crowd could too. Grim.

Ooh me too. M<akes me tighten everything up just thinking about it.

And it happened during one of thos moments when the whole crowd has gone quiet too, so you could hear the leg SNAP

Can't be the same Paul Clarke, he's older than me I'm sure and I'm 56. Great player uncompromising, I remember him hitting a thunderous goal at Brisbane Road on my birthday (think it was my 18th). Scored a cracker against Spurs in the three one defeat of same, the day that Spurs fans showed how sporting they are when their side is being played off the park by causing several pitch invasions which forced us to put up the same sort of fences which ended up killing so many at Hillsborough.

totally agree nobody knows how to block tackle now and if they did they would become a marked man especially by the refs

remember Paul Clark bloody right I do ...................you always knew that if he was playing you had a fighting chance

Souness, Giles, Bremner, Case. There seemed to be some talented performers at that time, who were also f***ing hard players. Midfielders who could do everything to the highest level.
