Being new to the game I had lots of plans for this year, covid has put the mockers on that!..
What were others planning to do?

We've taken a look at this.

We saw a very cheap one and showed it to friends who spend over half the year in theirs at various events, holidays and family gatherings around Europe, their comments were they'd tried cheap and it put them off as things didn't work and it wasn't up to the latest tech etc, and unreliable.

They then hired one for a weeks break in France and feel in love with it.

I have someone else who has bought one with two other couples, like a timeshare, it works but they are all very diligent and similar, maybe some risk to this if you didn't share the same care and attention?

We don't have one, but will be hiring one in Iceland in November for a few days (CV19 pending).

Apparently in the next year or two, I will be converting a van into a motorhome, according to the wife.

I have. I’m hoping campsites start to open in July but I imagine the showers/toilets etc will be out of bounds so best if your van is self contained.

I bought mine back from storage and stuck it in the garden so that we can at least pretend to be on holiday.

Did a hire before buy last year, the hire firm flogs em when they get to 3 years old, got a real bargain in My opinion, just not been able to go out in it, hopefully gonna get upto the Dales in September.

We had a small self converted camper for racing, out grew it and got LAika like this

it was a beast, went well, towed a race car/trailer . . ahd all the bells and whistles, air con, proper bog, shower, cooker, oven . . . but it was a big beast and took a lot of looking after . . . . the last year it woirked out to have cost £100 a night we used it so little, thats hotel money. . . .so we sold it. can't say I miss it much. it took a good 4 hours to clean and wash when we got home from a long weekend or week away.

Papa Lazarou does.

I *think* it's a Vauxhall Van that was professionally converted and bought from a local-ish specialist. He'll be along to confirm/correct soon, I imagine!

What make and model is it? We're still on the fence!
