Sadly 'PC gone mad' is the exact reason I need a new one.

Fair enough if you prefer just a PM, I'm sure someone will be in touch, but if you did chose to outline what you're after on this thread, you'd get loads of excellent help and advice from plenty of very knowledgeable posters, which will help you get exactly what you're after. They helped me out no end when I set about building a pc for the first time

I was looking to build a gaming rig but the price of power supplies and high end graphics cards meant it was no cheaper than buying a shop built rig with warranty. The price of 3080’s and 3090’s are horrific.

I used to do it for fun, then I got paid for doing it, then it wasn't fun any more so I stopped entirely.

If you want any advice PM me and I'll see what I can do.

This is why I suggested to the OP that he perhaps posts his requirements on this thread.

When we built our very entry level gaming PC last Christmas, parts were in short supply and expensive. Thankfully a really nice poster on here stepped in with the offer of his 2nd hand motherboard and CPU at a great price. I took that, and all his excellent advice, and ended up building a decent machine for a fair bit less than new with the equivalent spec would have cost.

Also got the pleasure of learning and building the thing with my youngest, so it was win/win all round, again, thanks to the knowledgeable community that is NSC

I've built a few gaming pc's over the past 5 years, I can likely help.
If it's more a pornhub VR thing you're working on, I understand the pm requirement.
