I've got 2 mates early 30s who are decent guitarists. One a bass guitarist in a band and the other used to be a guitarist with "Thousand Yard Stare"...quite successful indie band from the early 90s.

google the band and you'll see 'em there.

Influences? The norm really: the jam, joy division, happy mondays, futureheads, secret affair, sex pitols, buzzcocks, the clash, sham 69, x ray specs, skids, oasis, super furry animals, stevie wonder, bloc party, new order and a few others.
