Love the way they had scarecrows as well as ridiculously flash special effects on the spaceship thing.

How SCARY was the teenager villain though?! Twisted face and all:eek:

How brilliant was that! Best episode of the series so far!

So many nods to the old series aswell with referances to 'Sydney' and 'Verity', pictures of the 7th and 8th doctors in the sketch pad and also the cricket ball.

Can't wait for next weeks now

I never used to like Dr. Who, but since it was 'reborn' I've found myself getting more and more into it.

Can't wait for the return of one of my favourite characters next week, and the finale of this series is shaping up to be fantastic.

The Kid in the "Family" was excellent.

I thought it was deep and meaningful and very wonderful, in a daft kind of way. Couldn't quite work out why they were scared of the scarecrows tho. I mean they posed minimal threat to health unless you happened to be a hay fever sufferer.

I love the way they still stick with the tacky aliens, it just wouldn't be Doctor Who without them.

As someone who has to sit and watch it with my daughter each week I have to concur. Total tripe, Tennant's acting is the only thing that keeps me awake.

It was my first ever 'new' Doctor Who tonight. I was mightily confused. Mads, aged 4, seemed to enjoy it though.

Much as I still watch it every now and then, I just haven't enjoyed the last couple of series of Doctor Who that much. Stories that would have been played out over a number of episodes previously are shoehorned into one 45 minute programme. Some of the storylines and acting have been fairly woeful as well. And does the Doctor actually go to alien planets anymore? I can't recall watching an episode since it was brought back that hasn't been set on earth.

The episode before this one, they were on the sun?

Woeful acting? Tennant?

I don't think the sun really counts as an alien planet, does it?

I think Tennant is a very good Doctor, and is one of the few reasons worth watching it for at the moment but some of the other actors are awful - that drippy cow in tonights episode, for example.
