FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
Surely, anyone in East Upper will be looking down at the action rather than up at the Sun.... there will be even less chance of the sun getting in your eyes than East Lower, and like people have said, I never had a problem with it.

i have 617 which is in line with the cents circle on the south side...so u r close to that...i stood at that seat number (lower obviously) after a game...and its a lovely view

Good news then! Just checked and it is seat number 620 and 621 that me and my mate have so being in line with the centre circle will do nicely :)

Fair enough. Still, it's probably only in about 4/5 games in a season of 28 home matches that the sun has been an issue. I ruled out sitting in the East mainly because I quite like to be around the dugouts when watching football but secondly because I thought the sun would be a nightmare. Had it not been for those factors, I would suggest something in the back of ESL or the front of ESU is perhaps the PRIME spot at The Amex.

Know what you mean about being close to the dug-outs. The one drawback of being in the East is you can't really see the managers, or the subs warming up etc. But the overall view of the main stand is amazing.

When I purchased seats 573-575 in the ESU the ticket office said these seats were approx 10 yards in from the half way line.

Anyone know how many rows the upper level of the stand has?

i assume that would be toward the north..which makes it about right that 600 is bang in the middle..u should have a lovely view...re rows tbh no idea...18 at a guess?

I agree re seats near dugouts....sounds a great place to b....re sun...if u look at youtube...re blackpool game..it only hits the lower east up to 2/3 rd row from back...ipswich..hits the windows at the back...so maybe winter sun will hit first few rows of upper....i was in east and found that wearing a cap was enough to negate any sun issue

Its interesting that there were only a few games with the sun...and yet so little rain...so plenty of just cloud days!
