Just inherited some money, and was thinking of getting a convertible sports car, always been my dream. Any suggestions?? I suffer with a bad back and have been told I might find some of them too low and therefore hard to get in and out of.

I've just ordered a Focus CC. Not much different to the current Focus, but has the folding metal roof.

Getting mixed reviews in the press though. Not for those that are consious of a big bum.

Not really a sports car either.

There are some cracking old cars in Cuba. It is motohead heaven out there.

If you get the chance - get yourself out to Cuba and jump in one of the un-licensed taxis. A great experience in itself.

Sorry NMH not my cup of tea in anyway. I don't like the looks and was prepared to drive one a while ago when working in California and it confirmed my suspicisions that they are woeful. Give me good old English engineering anyday... (may not be to your taste but it is to mine) :)

Woeful? hmm, not when I had the pleasure - and those old 8cyl tanks roll on and on. I suppose it depends how you like to roll - in slow style with the top down  , or squirrelling along on them tiny go-kart wheels and squeezing inbetween the bollards, beep beep :cheery:
Like you say tede, each to their own ;)

Well I like to be able to steer my car around corners, and be able to keep it in a straight line at anything over 10mph, nor do I like using 400 gallons per mile. Thats without entering into the style debate....

Depends - how bad is your back? Are you looking for a classic car (pre '70's) or a new car?
