Well simply a website name is only a user friendly thing that's easy to remember.

For the internet to work, a numerical addressing system needs to be in place.

Somewhere something needs to take the user friendly name and convert into the numerical version.

If (for instance) the actual numerical address changes, it takes a while for the servers that do the translation from easy to remember to numerical to be updated.

Imagine you changing your phone number and waiting for all your mates to update their contacts list.

If you are getting an Apache on one browser/computer but not another it will be a local thing - clear your cache, get rid of temporary internet files etc.

There is no issue at NSC - everything is working fine.

I don't understand the Apache thing. All I know is that over the past 24 hours it's very difficult to load NSC and this morning after 10 minutes of trying to access when I did it makes me log in when normally that's automatic. Then the page loading is very slow. Must be the snow I suppose.
