I add my thanks to TBB for his good work. I think you know by now I agree fully that some scores seem highly dubious, particularly regular 1s or 2s!!
I do though think the two posters who are always way clear are likely there on merit. Both have previously offered logical reasons behind their strategy which make sense to me.
Anyway it’s all a bit of fun from my perspective. I suspect my average would still settle around the 3.83-3.86 level even if we all started again as it seems about where I am.

Full disclosure: After my first guess today I heard something that while it didn’t give me any letters I didn’t have, helped give me a clue as to the nature of the word. I couldn’t unhear it, and with the letters I already had it limited my options. I wasn’t sure whether to deliberately wrong guess to put my score up to a more realistic one, or just guess my guess (which still could have been wrong) and accept that averages average out.

Apologies to all for the temporary boost to my average. I’ll be back in my rightful place soon enough.
