I think it's really only the multiple choice ones that result in 7s. More unusual words are, by virtue of their letter combinations, generally easier to get once you've had a couple of attempts.

I'd agree. The ones you're likely to fail on are words where you've got all the letters but one and there are still a multitude of possibilities.

Eg. Shar_ - share, shark, shard, shart, sharp

That's what got me my only fail, anyway
